UBank University Graduation 2022: A Milestone Achievement

Congrats Grads!

Congrats to our first class of UBank University interns who graduated from the program this week! Let's hear a round of applause for Selene and Viviana (from Lufkin ISD), and Moriah and Daniyal (from Tyler ISD)! We'd also like to thank Raul & Samantha, our AMAZING UBank intern mentors, and Kristi & Patty, the UBank team behind this pilot program!

We hosted a graduation celebration where interns not only got to share what they learned over the last 10 weeks, but they got to hear life advice from a panel of our executives! Our Internship Program is a holistic approach to financial literacy and professional development, so it was important for us to give the interns the opportunity to ask UBank execs questions. We had a BLAST launching UBank University this year, and we look forward to growing the internship year after year! 

UBank is committed to serving our local community in creative ways, which is why we launched the University Internship Program for high school students in local public schools. While this program will give students hands-on banking experience, our ultimate goal for this 10-week program is to give students a solid foundation in financial literacy, which will set them up for success regardless of the industry they work in. UBank’s Internship Program is a holistic approach to financial literacy and professional development, all in a positive environment.

The UBank University Intern Program runs from January to May of each school year, and program graduates are awarded with a $500 scholarship and UBank University certificate upon completion of the 5-month program!

Kristi Johnston and Patty Rivers did an AMAZING job of making our pilot UBank University a success! They were there to guide the interns and mentors every step of the way.

Because financial education is a top priority at UBank, we're excited to continue building on the UBank University year after year! There's no better way for us to spend our time than pouring into the next generation so they can start off on a strong foot financially.
